At Exfatter Apparel, we believe that sustainability is not just about the materials we use—it’s about how we make them. In 2024, we took a significant step forward by installing a rooftop solar power system at our manufacturing facility in Ningbo, China.
This system now supplies up to 20% of our factory’s energy consumption through clean, renewable solar power. It is part of a broader initiative to reduce our environmental impact and align our operations with the values we share with our brand partners.
Why Solar?
Solar energy is one of the most accessible and impactful renewable energy sources. By harnessing sunlight, we are able to:
-
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions – Solar power generates electricity without releasing carbon dioxide, methane, or other harmful gases.
-
Lower our operating footprint – Once installed, solar systems require minimal maintenance and provide long-term energy savings.
-
Support energy independence – Generating our own clean energy reduces reliance on non-renewable sources and contributes to a more resilient operation.
A Step Toward Responsible Manufacturing
This solar installation reflects our broader commitment to responsible production. As a vertically integrated manufacturer, we have the ability to implement sustainability measures across our operations—from material sourcing to final packaging. Clean energy is a vital piece of that puzzle.
We are proud to invest in solutions that reduce our environmental impact while maintaining the quality, agility, and reliability our partners expect.
Looking Ahead
The solar system is one of several initiatives we are pursuing to make our manufacturing more sustainable. We continue to explore ways to increase energy efficiency, reduce waste, and further integrate renewable energy into our operations.
For us, sustainability is an ongoing journey—and we are committed to moving forward, step by step.
